Hi There,
My name is Janie, I’m a professional illustrator with extensive Artist Alley and craft fair experience. My booth combines a strong retail presence with live, hand-drawn commissions done in watercolor and ink. I try to do more than just sell my work, I want to create a memorable experience for people whenever I set up my table. I do this through my art itself, and by creating an open-studio/gallery experience.
While I am obviously working for an income, I also see these events as an opportunity to connect through art. I try to be generous with my creativity and time at these events, and focus on creating a lasting connection with whoever stops by my booth.
Booth SETUP EXAMPLES
Every event is different and I focus on making my booth compliant with display policy, but I always create a gallery and open-studio with lots of handmade flair.
The aesthetic of my booth is built around the traveling circus themes from the early 1900’s, with bright red curtains and outlandish claims.
THE GOODS
I bring a wide array of merchandise, with a huge focus on mini prints at an easy price point. I want my table to feel accessible to everyone, while still offering something to the collectors in the crowd.
My prices range from $5 for a mini print, to over $1,000 for one of my original paintings. If you would like to see my catalogue, please visit my shop: www.janiestapleton.store

SOCIAL MEDIA
I have a dedicated social media following for my work. People come find me at events to introduce themselves and it’s one of my favorite parts about tabling.
